Care

Here you can find useful information on how to take care of your candles and wax melts and how to use them safely.

Candle Care

  • Remove all packaging before lighting.
  • Trim the wick to about 8mm before lighting.
  • Place your candle on top of a heat resistant surface to avoid melting wax damaging surfaces.
  • Never burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Allow your candle to cool down for at least 2 hours before relighting.
  • Place in a well ventilated space when burning and never leave it unattended.
  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that might catch fire.
  • Store your candles in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep away from flammable materials, children and pets.
  • Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles.

Wax Melt Care

  • Remove all packaging before use.
  • Use only unscented tea lights when burning wax melts.
  • Use standard tea lights (burn time is approx. 4hours).  Never use the larger 8hr tea lights!
  • Wax melts are solid and will change volume when melted, so be careful not to overfill your bruner, which could cause spillage.
  • Hot wax can cause burns to the skin, please be very careful.
  • Do Not eat – if eaten seek medical attention immediately.
  • Place your burner out of reach of children and pets.
  • Ensure your burner is placed in a well ventilated area but not near drafts.
  • Do Not leave your burner unattended while in use.
  • Wax melts contain dye so avoid contact with fabrics as melted wax may cause staining.
  • Do Not transport an oil burner while in use as melted wax can spill and cause burns to the skin.
  • Take care when extinguishing your tea lights.
  • Ensure wax melts are stored in a safe place away from children.
  • Wax melts do not evaporate.
  • You can continue to replace the tealight until your wax no longer smells and the it's time to exchange the wax melts.
  • Do not pour melted wax into the drain as it could cause blockages.
  • If you see some vapour coming out from the top of the burner, don't be alarmed as that's the scent coming out.
  • Never use more than one tea light at the time.

How To Clean Your Burner

Wax melts do not evaporate, and eventually they will lose its scent and the wax should be discarded (never pour melted wax into the drain). You have two easy options to do this:

  • After extinguish you tea light safely, use cotton wool to soak up the remaining melted wax, which can then be safely discarded.

  • Wait until the wax cools and hardens. Light up the tealight in order to warm up the wax just for a few seconds, then gently place pressure on one end of the wax until it pops out and can be safely discarded.

Do not use wipes and/or cleaning chemicals/products to clean the burner.

Do not use metal or sharp objects to remove the wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury.
